Question by SSJ4 Goku: How can I completely clean my computer from all viruses and spyware? I know there is a way. You put in some sort of manufactures disc and you do stuff to your computer where you wipe off everything clean.

Answer by ColincLimewire does not, many of its’ files do. Try downloading malwarebytes. It will clean up, but then you will need to install a decent anti-spyware to protect your machine.

Answer by Linux OSNo, it doesn’t prevent spyware but it is a security feature. Really insecure systems – like the Microsoft Windows operating system – need loads of things besides firewalls. You’ll also need anti-virus, anti-trojan, anti-spyware, anti-virus and rootkit detectors on top of your firewall.
Use more secure systems, like Trusted Solaris and Red Hat Linux if you’re looking for security.

The research labs at SpyReveal recently conducted an experiment and downloaded 10 of the most popular surveillance software from download directories and tested it against major anti-spyware applications.

I know that viruses are infected files, but from the research ive done it doesn’t seem that spyware is always a program (.exe) unless that is not the only kind of program. Let me edit what i said, i wanted to know what is differances in the files them selves that they need to found by seperate programs. I mean, why isn’t there just an anti-malware that finds both.

I had this virus on my computer last year, and my husband’s friend founds tons of websites on how to get rid of it without downloading anything.

I have a Google Redirect virus on my laptop (and possibly other more dangerous stuff), and I’m out of options. Will formatting my laptop’s hard drive do the trick as a last resort? I was planning on cleaning it out, since it’s full of junk anyway. Thanks!
