Readers looking for a Christian dose of optimism to help their day along will find it as author John Stephens shares With Peace in Mind. This anthology of prose and poetry is straightforward, sharp and humorous; yet the messages shine directly to the heart and soul. The Christian messages are simple, but thought-provoking.
Driven to inspire and move others to experience and accept God?s presence, the author weaves very short, heart-warming stories, stirring poetry, and encouraging one-act plays. In the story ?A Bedtime Story,? two three-year-olds of different races fight over a toy car, but More >

How do I go about creating a book of poetry for publishing?
May 16th
Question by carpentrygirl: How do I go about creating a book of poetry for publishing? I have a binder that I’ve kept since my freshman yr. in high school and I have been wanting to make a book of poetry. I wouldn’t know the first steps in how to write it, who to send it to, anything…I’ve never had anything published before (except a couple poems by themselves) so I was hoping you could help inform.

How do poetry awards help you in publication?

Question by : How do poetry awards help you in publication? Back in my early poetic years; my old English teacher mister Norwitzki (actual name) entered my school in a city wide poetry contest called “poetic power”. It just so happened that me and a few of my friends became semi-finalists and got awards of the highest honor. How does this helps me for when plan on being a published poet or author?

Analysis of Poetry
Article by Thomas
Introduction To start analyzing Geoffrey Chaucers The Wife of Baths Tale I must say that this piece of poetry to explicate is just the part of huge poetic work done by Geoffrey Chaucer in 1384. In 1399 when the new king Henry IV came to the throne, the poet addressed a poem to him, The Complaints of Chaucer to his Empty Purse. As a result he was given a new pension. The Canterbury Tales is a series of stories written in verse. The framework which serves to connect them is a pilgrimage to Canterbury, More >

Q&A: What was the style of poetry in the renaissance?
May 13th
Question by Glasses Chick: What was the style of poetry in the renaissance? I’m writing a paper and need to find information on the devices used in poetry during the Renaissance, particularly the use of romance/unrequited love, but I can’t find any cites that say anything.
So if someone could show me a website where poetry in the renaissance is talked about, that would be great! Don’t bother listing what you know because I can’t use it UNLESS you show me the cite where you got that information.
Thanks for any help, I could really use it!
