Well I can only tell you what I have done, not everything has worked but different thing work for different people. Of course the first thing most people do is hit their warm market, family friends, co workers. I don’t recommend this all the way, unless you know that some of these people would like to join you in the business venture. The reason I say this is that these are people who without meaning any harm will tear you dream apart, they will tell you this will never work, it’s a pyramid scheme and tell you that you will not succeed. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM! This is a concept that I truly believe works, just go back to those people once you have some success, then they can’t tell you it doesn’t work.
Depending on the product or service, I would try and get information in places that people who are interested will see. I think that sites like this are great. I myself have stated sites here and MySpace, I’ve gone to Classmates and filled out all my info and got into the groups there. It’s all about exposure. I have contacted a company that gets hits to my site, not to sure about that one yet, I’m getting hits but not much else. A website is a must I think, because you can direct people to it and they don’t feel threatened, they can go on their time and get the information. This makes it easy on you too, it’s hard to be everywhere at once. Also ask friends if ‘they’ know anyone, that would be interested, a lot of times they discover that they need or want your product or service, but you and they don’t feel as though you have hounded them. WHAT DOES Google want? Having successfully become our personal librarian, Google now wants to be our personal oracle. It wants to learn all about us, know us better than we know ourselves, to transform itself from a search engine into a psychoanalyst’s couch or a priest’s confessional.

Google’s search engine is the best place to learn what Google wants. Type “Eric Schmidt London May 22″ into Google, and you can read about a May interview the Google chief executive gave to journalists in London.

Here is how he described what he hoped the search engine would look like in five years: “The goal is to enable Google users to be able to ask the question such as ‘What shall I do tomorrow?’ And ‘What job shall I take?’ ”

Schmidt’s goal is not inconsiderable: By 2012, he wants Google to be able to tell all of us what we want. This technology, what Google co-founder Larry Page calls the “perfect search engine,” might not only replace our shrinks but also all those marketing professionals whose livelihoods are based on predicting — or guessing — consumer desires.

Schmidt acknowledges that Google is still far from this goal. As he told the London journalists: “We cannot even answer the most basic questions because we don’t know enough about you. That is the most important aspect of Google’s expansion.”

So where is Google expanding? How is it planning to know more about us? Many — if not most — users don’t read the user agreement and thus aren’t aware that Google already stores every query we type in.

The next stage is a personalized Web service called iGoogle. Schmidt, who perhaps not coincidentally sits on the board of Apple, regards its success as the key to knowing us better than we know ourselves.

iGoogle is growing into a tightly-knit suite of services — personalized homepage, search engine, blog, e-mail system, mini-program gadgets, Web-browsing history, etc. — that together will create the world’s most intimate information database. On iGoogle, we all get to aggregate our lives, consciously or not, so artificially intelligent software can sort out our desires. It will piece together our recent blog posts, where we’ve been online, our e-commerce history and cultural interests. It will amass so much information about each of us that eventually it will be able to logically determine what we want to do tomorrow and what job we want.

The real question, of course, is whether what Google wants is what we want too. Do we really want Google digesting so much intimate data about us? Could iGoogle actually be a remix of “1984′s” Room 101 — that Orwellian dystopia in which our most secret desires and most repressed fears are revealed?

Any comparison with 20th century, top-down totalitarianism is, perhaps, a little fanciful. After all, nobody can force us to use iGoogle. And — in contrast to Yahoo and Microsoft (which have no limits on how long they hang on to our personal data) — Google has committed to retaining data for only 18 months.

Still, if iGoogle turns out to be half as wise about each of us as Schmidt predicts, then this artificial intelligence will challenge traditional privacy rights as well as provide us with an excuse to deny responsibility for our own actions. What happens, for example, when the government demands access to our iGoogle records? And will we be able to sue iGoogle if it advises us to make an unwise career decision?

Schmidt, I suspect, would like us to imagine Google as a public service, thereby affirming the company’s “do no evil” credo. But Google is not our friend. Schmidt’s iGoogle vision of the future is not altruistic, and his company is not a nonprofit group dedicated to the realization of human self-understanding.

Worth more than $ 150 billion on the public market, Google is by far the dominant Internet advertising outlet — according to Nielsen ratings, it reaches about 70% of the global Internet audience. Just in the first quarter of 2007, Google’s revenue from its online properties was up 76% from the previous year. Personal data are Google’s most valuable currency, its crown jewels. The more Google knows our desires, the more targeted advertising it can serve up to us and the more revenue it can extract from these advertisers.

What does Google really want? Google wants to dominate. Its proposed $ 3.1-billion acquisition of DoubleClick threatens to make the company utterly dominant in the online advertising business. The $ 1.65-billion acquisition of YouTube last year made it by far the dominant player in the online video market. And, with a personalized service like iGoogle, the company is seeking to become the algorithmic monopolist of our online behavior.

So when Eric Schmidt says Google wants to know us better than we know ourselves, he is talking to his shareholders rather than us. As a Silicon Valley old-timer, trust me on this one. I know Google better than it knows itself.

Composer, filmmaker, director and solo performer Mikel Rouse announces the May 1, 2012 release of his first double album, Boost|False Doors (Exit Music 1015-1016), through iTunes and all major retailers. ?False Doors has been described as my Buddhist record, probably because of an impression of acceptance that pervades the recording,? explains Rouse. ?And Boost was about the anticipation of a loss of love through the metaphor of hedge funds and banking. The recordings are a year apart, but somehow, they seemed to become bookends, so I thought I?d release them together.?

Rouse?s musical and theatrical repertoire has its roots in the high art-meets-popular culture, mix-and-match aesthetic of the early ?80s downtown Manhattan music and art scene from which he emerged. As the Toronto Globe and Mail puts it, Rouse?s music has brought ?comparisons to Laurie Anderson, Steve Reich and occasionally Talking Heads, though Rouse’s love of complex rhythmic patterns far exceeds them all.? And Rouse has been credited with anticipating the orchestrated pop music of Postclassical 30 years before the term was coined. As the New York Times noted in 2010: ?If Mr. Rouse had built his career in a different era, he might be playing these songs to indie-rock fans alongside bands like Dirty Projectors or an earlier Sufjan Stevens.? But music is just a part of what he does: His pieces also build a hypnotic effect through their non-narrative approach and the use of surreal film images. The Los Angeles Times notes, ?Indeed, what makes Rouse’s music so fascinating is that it completely merges speech and song into a rich overlay of textures. The songs have a lush pop music texture (some have noticed a seeming Rouse influence on Beck). The melodies are immediate but complexly structured like poetry; his beautiful lyrics are highly musical in tone and rhythm.? And after the premiere of Rouse?s multimedia opera, The End of Cinematics, The New York Times reported, ?Sometimes built on heavy, repetitive beats, and sometimes couched in Beatle-esque psychedelia, the songs are vivid, pleasingly visceral and often engagingly harmonized, with amusingly off-kilter lyrics.?

Rouse is perhaps best known for his modern media trilogy: Failing Kansas, Dennis Cleveland and The End Of Cinematics, presented for the first time in repertory in 2008 at the Luminato Festival in Toronto. Praising part one, the Washington Post wrote ?There is no standard vocabulary adequate to describe Failing Kansas? for full appreciation, it should be seen more than once.? Of part two, Dennis Cleveland, Daily Variety wrote ?highly sophisticated, using imaginative harmonies, contrapuntal techniques (even fugue!), complex overlays of rhythm and Minimalist phasing, rap and hip-hop. It is a musical language substantial enough to make statements, direct enough to make theater.? Dennis Cleveland began its life with a sold-out run at tiny New York City avant-garde venue the Kitchen, where theatre-goers had to turn to scalpers to nab hard-to-come-by tickets, and returned to Manhattan years later in a more full-blown form, for a critically-acclaimed engagement at Lincoln Center. “No divorcing person needs to be told how important their children are,” says Dan Couvrette, the publisher and CEO of Divorce Magazine and DivorceMagazine.com. “But every divorcing person needs to be reminded of how their words and actions can negatively or positively affect their children.”

Among the issues you and your children may be worried about this holiday season:

Which parent will have access to the children, and when?
Are the children afraid you’ll see them as “disloyal” if they have fun at your ex’s home?
Will you or your spouse allow your bitterness or competition to infect the holiday spirit?
Will the children miss the other parent when they are with you?

Of course the holidays will never be the same from now on, but Divorce Magazine and DivorceMagazine.com offer a few general tips to make the best of the new situation:

Plan ahead. Having a secure schedule in place for when the children will be with whom will ease their anxiety and help any transitions between parents move smoothly.
Have the best holiday you possibly can under the circumstances. Invite family and friends over, play games, watch holiday-themed movies, eat, drink, and be merry. Show your children that whatever has happened to the family, you still love them and want to share holiday cheer with them.
Don’t say nasty things about the other parent. Parental alienation is always bad, and you don’t want your children to feel guilty or conflicted about spending holiday time at your ex’s house.
Be civil, even kind. Let your ex have their quality time with the children, and don’t argue about it or interfere. They have as much right for time with the children as you do.
Sympathize. Your children may be very sad that their parents can’t both be there to celebrate. Let them know it’s okay to feel that way. Don’t pressure them to act happy if they don’t honestly feel it.

Looking for a Fulfilling Career as a Notary Public

The notary publics have one of the most important jobs available and many find working in large important cities in the United States, if not the world makes the job even more important. Some larger cities are the home of some of the most prominent industries and companies in the world; not to mention some of the foremost business executives and professionals in the country.

Chances are that, at one time or another, most or all of the people in most areas will need the services of a notary public; this is why it’s important that notaries become educated in many areas of government, corporate, and judicial matters. Honestly, a well versed notary public probably doesn’t need to learn as much as a traveling or foreign-based notary public; who, after all, must know all of the finer points of international law and corporate policy.

At the same time, a public notary must learn to navigate the corporate, legal and judicial waters of most large cities and towns with a full range of companies, corporations, factories, nonprofit agencies and customer service businesses.

A vast city with fast flowing economy and booming population, not to mention a large, active real estate market with plenty of spacious, beautiful properties, and plenty of multi-level homes in many styles and designs that are on the market. Notary publics will find that it will be very beneficial to them financially to work in one of the biggest and most important cities on the globe.

So no pressure on the notary public, right? Indeed, since notaries do apply their seal of approval to a great variety of corporate, judicial and property-related documents, they must learn about and attain a firm grasp on all of these and other important issues; and nowhere is this more true than most large cities, where these issues and transactions come up every day and at varying levels of complexity. Being a well versed notary public, in large booming cities is of course a multifaceted and demanding task; but it’s one that many trained notary publics gladly embrace and pursue every day.
