Forum marketing is one of the easiest, cheapest ways to establish yourself as an online authority. If you can connect to people on the internet, they will be more willing to trust and like you, and people tend to buy from people they TRUST. This is the philosophy of Internet Marketing. To be effective you need to add value to the conversations that interest you, that’s what it’s all about! You can start a new topic or reply to one that is already active.

Taking part in the forum make sure you give your valuable content and well comprehensible. Do not bring your business to the conversation, because then the account will be frozen and can even be removed. On most forums in the profile settings you can add your own signature which will be showed in every post you write. For example:

Also a good idea to write the signature as if it were a PPC (Pay Per Click) or classified as with a strong headline, persuasive copy, including a “call to action”, and a link to one of your web sites.

If people will like you and what you write, they will go looking for more information on you. THAT IS IT!

Also remember to never, ever break the forum rules. This is very important to not put yourself in a bad light on the other forum users. Read the rules to each of them, most have a FAQ section that’s worth looking over before participating.

Better Networker – Mike Dillard’s site.Work At Home Moms Forum – It’s primarily for women but men are welcome too.Why Do Work Forum – Good forum with good traffic, often appears in search engines.Work At Home Forum – This one is well made and has a clear format.MLM.com – A lot of experienced and successful network marketers hang out here.Site Reference Forum – The forum does require that you post 20 times before you can have a sig file, which in a way is good because it means they are serious about preventing forum spam.

Tips & tricks that will help you do it more efficiently:

-Join to at least 3 forums.-Forum marketing is effective if you’re spending time engaged in meaningful discussions on the forum. Plan to spend 20 minutes every day keeping current on your forums.-Join the conversation and provides useful information for other forum users.-The more you give to other people, the more credibility you get from them. Your goal is to nurture relationships and gain the trust of members of the forum, then they will check out your signature and websites.-Learn from other members of the forum. You also can find out something new and interesting!-Do not limite only to internet marketing and home-based business forums, join also those that represent your hobbies and interests, just have fun!-Always use your real name. You want people to get to know you and begin to recognize your name.-Do not be afraid to ask questions. If you are just going to sound like an expert you’ll seem fake. No one knows everything.
