Q&A: How can I get better at writing scientifically?
Aug 31st
Question by frances.bacon&eggs: How can I get better at writing scientifically? I’m taking my first upper-level biology course, which requires us to write a few short research papers. Almost all of my writing experience has been with literature/history papers, so I’m having trouble writing scientifically–I get too wordy, or I accidentally use phrases like “This proves that…” or I don’t structure a paragraph correctly. How can I improve? Also, any general tips on this subject are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
